Our mission at Weezy's Skating Academy is to provide a strong foundation for hockey player’s that utilizes an intense and continuous training program to teach basic skills and solid technique. We believe a positive, fun and competitive atmosphere, which includes mentoring by professional staff, enhances the training experience. In merging the training and the atmosphere into one encounter, Weezy's Skating Academy believes players will advance to a more skilled level of play.

About Us
Bryan (Weezy) DeWees has been a skating instructor for over 13 years. Players who train with Weezy benefit from his unique teaching style, personal rapport, inventive drills and his life-long love of skating. Weezy's teaching style has helped countless players perfect their skill sets for a more advanced and competitive level of play. Bryan has trained players in the NHL, AHL, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, USHL, NAHL and High School. He has his level 3 certification with USA Hockey coaching education program.

I cannot say enough for the commitment that Weezy puts into developing young athletes. It all starts with the details for proper skate fitting. We were unaware of how important it is to have exact sizing for skates. After consulting with Weezy, we were in a full size bigger than we needed. Needless to say, my son is now in a pair of skates that fit and also feel great! In the short amount of time with Weezy, we have seen more confidence in his skating ability. Now he is ready to continue the work to get faster and more efficient on the ice. Thank you Weezy, as my son sure enjoys working with you and your staff!

Over the years and our careers, we have been fortunate to train with some of the best coaches and instructors in the country. In that time, we have not come across another coach that has had a greater impact on our development than Bryan.
